DEFENDING HILLARY: WHO REALLY WON THE VP DEBATE?

DEFENDING HILLARY: WHO REALLY WON THE VP DEBATE?
By Thom Palmer
October 5, 2016

After reviewing Politifact analysis of the debate, the following results are factual Details can be found at POLITIFACT VP DEBATE FACT CHECK

KAINE'S STATEMENTS WERE RATED AT 94% TRUE and 6% FALSE
PENCE'S STATEMENTS WERE RATED AT 75% FALSE and 25% TRUE

Who won depends on how you look at it. It appears that Pence took a few Xanax, and had already planned on denying everything that Trump has said and then counter-attack with a lie. He did it with masterful precision, keeping his cool, never becoming frustrated by facts being thrown at him for an hour and a half, and then firing back with another lie, which, if believed, would counter the attack with equal force. Good old fashioned "Deny and Counterattack" with false statements.

Pence's response to Kaine's accusations, even when Kaine has video evidence of Trump incriminating himself was a cool and calm "No, that's not true", followed by another provable lie about Hillary Clinton's trustworthiness or record.

A majority of the public and media felt that Pence won the debate. My question is: When 75% of everything said is a provable lie, then how can you give the nod to Pence? It has to do with Pence's rock-solid ability to lie with a straight face, and his prepared responses. He did a great job at violating the minds of the electorate with false and misleading information.

The moldy bread analogy comes to mind once more. When so much of the loaf has mold (75% in Pence's case), then do you go through the loaf to find the few pieces of bread that aren't showing mold yet or do you throw out the whole loaf? When such a large percentage of a political party or campaign is based on lies, then the intelligent human being is going to toss out the whole batch. If you toss out the batch, then you have, very simply, 96% truth and fact having been told by Kaine.

Here is a summary of the Politifact analysis, which is a fluid fact-check, being updated as facts are located. I chose to get this out now rather than later, because as you know... "A GOOD LIE CAN TRAVEL MANY TIMES AROUND THE WORLD BEFORE THE TRUTH GETS A START". This stuff needs to be shared, not just with your Hillary-friendly facebook groups, but with all of your groups and friends. My analysis puts Pence's lies at more like 90%, but we'll use the professional fact checkers as a guide.

KAINE WON THE DEBATE, pure and simple. If MEDIA is going to rate performance based on who can lie the best with a straight face, God help us all.
